Legitimacy of Group-Specific Support for College Access – Results of an Experimental Vignette Study

Abstract In an experimental vignette study, the respondents were asked to decide whether college applicants should be credited with a bonus or malus on admission grade, for example due their migration background, social origin, effort. The results show that dimensions of educational inequality tend considered in direction compensation. Hence, there is evidence certain legitimacy measures sense positive discrimination university access.
